Robbie was killed the 28th of August when his team got hit with an EFP.
Robbie was one of the most well known operators in Iraq and a personal friend. I (Jaco) worked with Robbie and got to know his great personality and his sense of humour.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.
You will be missed my friend.

SA man dies in Iraqi bomb blast

The death in Iraq in a roadside bomb blast of a South African man, Frans Robert Brand, 34, who worked for an English company destroying captured munitions, has been confirmed by the department of foreign affairs.
Further details were being awaited on Wednesday night, said spokesperson Ronnie Mamoepa.
Brand died when the vehicle in which he was riding was struck by an improvised explosive on Tuesday. He is the 39th contractor working for the coalition's munitions clearance programme to have died in four years.
Under the programme, munitions captured by US and Iraqi forces are transported and destroyed. - Staff Writer, Sapa-A
