There was an attack on the DynCorp facility in central Baghdad on 15 Feb 07 at approximately 06h38. Post blast indicates it was a 122mm rocket. Two expats were wounded critically and Glenn Joyce (South African) died en-route to the CaSH in the IZ. Dave Hackley (US) was critically wounded and after being stabalised was flown to Germany for neuro-surgery. He is recovering. Three local nationals were also seriously injured and taken to hospital for treatment. Our hearts go out to Glenn's family in this difficult time. May you find comfort in each other, and the knowledge that Glenn chose this profession for the benefit of those he loved. May God rest his soul. I will try and dobtain a recent photograph of Glenn.[br]

Official DynCorp News Bulletin: We must sadly report that Glen Joyce, a dual British and South African citizen, was killed February 15th in Iraq when a mortar detonated mid-air at a perimeter checkpoint at the Baghdad Hotel compound. Glen Joyce was 40 years old and had been working with DynCorp International as a security supervisor since October of 2004. One other DI employee, a US citizen, was seriously injured and is currently at a military hospital in Germany. Four Iraqis were injured in the same attack, which occurred at approximately 6:30 a.m. local time. Glen Joyce had been with DI in Iraq since October 2004. Prior to joining DI’s Iraq mission, he spent eight years with the South African Defense Force. He is survived by his wife and two daughters. Please keep Glen Joyce and his family—and all those injured this attack—in your thoughts and prayers. [br]
